Hi Mick,

Can you try override keyword if it works in your case..

(config-if)#mpls mtu ?
  <64-1500>  MTU (bytes)
  override   Override mpls mtu maximum of interface mtu

SWP-ACC-SIX(config-if)#mpls mtu override ?
  <1501-1580>  MTU (bytes)  ================> mtu is 1500 and mpls mtu can be configured upto 1580.
