I work in a small ISP and in the process of migrated some services to a 7600 router with the above card installed.
I want some clarifications regarding the EVC configurations on those specific line cards.
Let say we have over 5000 customers which connects onto our MPLS network. Now we want to use the 7600 as the core for all those customers which of course are double tagged, and we want to incorporate EVC so as to rewrite the two vlan to a local vlan by using the bridge domain command.
My questions are:
1. Is there a way to surpass the local vlan limitation of 4096 or use a different approach inside the service instance.
2. We are currently using unnumbered interface to a loopback under the SVI with proxy-arp enable. If we disable proxy-arp. ARP fails which is normal. What other options we can use to avoid arp failure and what does the ip unnumbered loopback 10 poll means?
