HIgh CPU Due to Interupt

Hi All,

I has an issue of instantaneous High CPU Usage on one of my Cisco 7609-s running Version 12.2(33)SRE12.

 

there is no abnormality observed on Process of show Process CPU and also not found in hardware constraints of the device.

Can anybody help me on this ??

Hello, you can use netdr to dump traffic directed to CPU. After that may be you get an idea about configuration that cause high cpu load.

Thanks fo the commen, but I checked multiple times netdr but not fruitful as all the times I got packet of my local cache servers which are captured in CPU processing

What kind of cache server do you use?

In what way traffic is directed to cache server ? PBR ?

we have two servers of Google GGC and Facebook cache server.

 

there is no PBR on the device.

Could you please show some packets captured by netdr ?

mls rate-limit all ttl-failure 100 10 

mls rate-limit all mtu-failure 100 10 in config?

attached is recent Netdr.

 

please can you help how to check,

TTL failures
MTU failures
No-route packet drops

 

as i am unable to check any failure.

Output of command show mls stat shows a lot of errors related to MTU.

Also you can add 

no ip redirects
no ip proxy-arp

no ip unreachable 

to all L3 interfaces.

All three command has been placed under all L3 physical interface

but still the CPU is getting high.
