Importing routes from VRF table to global routing table.

HI!,

I am facing a problem as stated into the discussion header. Let me explain the situation.

I am trying to import routes from a particular VRF table to global routing table. Also note that this particular router is not having any interface enabled with this particular VRF forwarding. This VRF table is learning the routes from other PE through MBGP.

Do we have any means to import this VRF learned routes from VRF table to Global routing table.

The only way I know of is to configure a static route in the global routing table and originate it in the BGP table using a network statement (or redistribute static in BGP). For it to work though, the static route needs to be configured with the VRF interface as the next hop, which don't really work in your scenario. Couldn't you just originate this route in the global routing table on the remote router where the VRF interface resides?

Hritter thanks for ur response. Let me clear my situation a bit more. See we have few BGP customers. Now I don't want my BGP customer's routes to be advertised in my IGP. At the same time there is a requirement that all my BGP customer can access my Hosting subnets & all my subnets can access my customers' hosting subnets internally(i.e not via Internet). Now to achieve this what I am planning is to take all my BGP customers thru MPLS VPN to my Primary Gateway locations. Now in my primary Gateway Locations I will add my supernets in Customers VRF and refer it to my Global routing table. This way Customers can reach my hosting subnets without getting his subnet advertised in my IGP. Now the problem is for return traffic coming from my subnets and destined for my customer subnets. It will come to my Primary Gateway router via defualt rout orginated from my GW. But after reaching my Gaateway I want the traffic to lookup the customer VRF available in my Gateway routers.

So I want to know how to force my traffic to also consider the customers' VRF routes at Gateway Router before going out to internet.

You don't really understand why you need to inject the customer's routes in your IGP if they are already in BGP.

In any case, you could approach it another way and create a VRF for your WEB hosting subnet and assigned a route-target that would be imported by all customers VRF. In the other direction, the WEB hosting VRF would need to import all customer subnets.
