MPLS via GRE tunnel issue

Dear all,

I want to deploy MPLS in IP tunnel environment so  i tried to create on a pair of ASR 920 a GRE tunnel via IP environment for testing, enable ospf and ldp on the tunnel. Everything seems fine but when I establish a l2vpn service (xconnect), i realized that I can’t pass traffic via the pseudo-wire although VC is up and ping mpls successful. Anyone can support me? Thank so much :)

Are you able try configuring below command under service instance and test if resolve your problem?

- rewrite ingress tag pop 1 symmetric

I configured untag mode under service instance as bellow so i think "rewrite..." is not necessary

no ip address
no negotiation auto
no keepalive
service instance 100 ethernet
encapsulation untagged
xconnect 3.3.3.3 100 encapsulation mpls

GRE may not be supported in the dataplane of ASR920. Which IOS XE version do you run on both routers?

try with tunnel mode ip  and configure mtu 1518
