Per VRF Per Tunnel MPLS TE

Hi,

I am new in MPLS TE. I want to know how to forward vrf traffic to a tunnel. More specifically, I have a PE router and here 2 clients are connected via L3VPN and advertised two prefixes. I want to forward one prefix (client a) traffic to one tunnel0 and other clients prefix toward second tunnel1. How to configure it.

Secondly, if the client is taking L2 VPN services from me. Same scenario two clients in PE router want to forward L2VPN traffic on two tunnels How to configure it.

Whats is the industry's best practices. I heard about L3VPN traffic forwarding into the tunnel using the community.

Thank you.

Hey there,

I would personally suggest using SR auto-steering. If not using SR the
forwarding is usually achieved by either statically sending traffic through
the tunnel (static route or autoroute options) or making the tunnel take
part to the IGP such that routes advertised by the other PE terminating the
same vpn would be naturally routed throuht the tunnel.

Hope this helps, let me know if you need further clarifications.
