I desing an MPLS Network for an enterprise environment. Apart from seven VRF's for each departement, there will be a voice vrf for VOIP traffic.
I was reading through different articels describing QoS for MPLS.
My question: Because all VOIP traffic is separeted in that specific vrf (no voip traffic in the other ones) is it necessary to mark this VOIP traffic with QoS in the MPLS core? Would it be possible with TE to prioritise this VOIP vrf in the Core?
Ok at the access switches i would have to do normal QoS and so it would be easy to copy the IP precedence into the expermanel Fiel of the MPLS Header...
What's the better way... Qos in the Access and TE in the Core, or QoS in both areas? Hay anybody experience in this case
