VRF Upgrade

Hi,

if anyone has ever had the experience VRF Upgrade from ip vrf <vrf name>to vrf definition <vrf name> using command vrf upgrade-cli multi-af-mode non-common-policies vrf ? if I want to use these commands, whether there is downtime for the vrf ?

Thanks

Re: VRF Upgrade

Hi,

It clould be because: if it's applicable to you

#vrf upgrade-cli multi-af-mode non-common-policies vrf test
You are about to upgrade to the multi-AF VRF syntax commands.
You will lose any IPv6 address configured on interfaces
belonging to upgraded VRFs.

Re: VRF Upgrade

Hi Mahesh,

whether there is downtime for connection networks in the VRF, if I change configurations to vrf definition from ip vrf ?

Thanks

Re: VRF Upgrade

Hi,

Let me be more clear. If an ipv6 address configured on interface belonging to that vrf then it will get lost with this command.

for ex: I have below config

interface Loopback10
ip vrf forwarding test
ipv6 address 2404:A800::1/64

and after configuring that command: blab810(config)#vrf upgrade-cli multi-af-mode non-common-policies vrf test

the config will lose ipv6 address: as

interface Loopback10
vrf forwarding test
end

Re: VRF Upgrade

Hi,

Have a look at this link for examples;

If you have configures IPv4 only on the interfaces, they will not be effected, but if you have IPv6, they will
