5.2.0.26.2: What passes for Release Notes these days?!!

Hi all Cisco AAA types....

Check out the release notes included with the latest 5.2.0.26.2 patch.  Filename is "Readme for CSCtk32683 feature.docx".  Not even PDF'ed.

This looks like some hacker's crib cheat sheet, not proper release notes from a professional company as big as Cisco.

This doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the product.

Regards,

Robbo.

I agree, and your feedback has been immediately forwarded to the ACS Development team.

I think it's a mistake rather than a decision. Let's see if it gets converted to pdf in the coming days :-)

It got fixed now !

Hi All - no - doesn't seem to be fixed as of today.

When you download 5-2-0-26-2.tar.gpg, there is a link to "Release Information" and "Readme for ACS 5.2.0.26.2 cumulative patch".

Clicking on this link downloads "Acs-5_2_0_26_2-Readme.zip".

Within this file you'll still find the dodgy release notes.

Are there any plans to rectify this?  Where's the quality control!?!

Not sure how that is possible. If I download it now, it gives me PDF files in the zip ...

To give you the details, it seems that it's not a quality control problem. It's not a requirement to have PDF release notes (actually most of them are html), more like a guideline.

That's what I heard back anyway.
