We are in the process of testing 802.1x authentication and one question came up that I can't seem to find any documentation for:
Is it possible to have the Call Manager directory as an external database for the ACS so that we can authenticate the phones without having to create users for the phones in the ACS?
The Call Manager appears to have an LDAP directory so it should be able to answer authentication requests but I can't seem to be able to find documentation as to how to do it (except from an old Call Manager Best Practice book that might not apply to more recent versions)
