Hi guys,
I have been trying to join the acs 5.1 box to join the domain. I have done all the initial configs in command line such as:
ip name-server x.x.x.x
ip domain name yyyyy.com
ntp server
clock set ......
clock timezone
now when I try to test, I put in the user credential and domain name and when i click on the test button, I get the error below
invalid credentials to join this machine to active directory domain.
I wan to be sure I am interpreting this correctly: I am thinking that the acs box is actively trying to access the AD but the account does not have the neccessary authority to login.
My IT guys just gave me one of the administrators loggin details to perform this test.
Is there a special form of account acs is supposed to have on the AD?
I have read on this blog someone saying it does not matter
any help would be appreciated.
