ACS 5.2.0.26.8: /opt is 100% full

Hello,

We already had this issue in another 5.2 version but we hoped that the update to Patch 26.8 solved it. Unfortunately, we are still in the same situation, few weeks later.

Show disk:

disk: 1% used (86080 of 65539868)
temp. space 1% used (51056 of 8063408)

Internal filesystems:
  warning - /opt is 100% used (362381524 of 362854908)

Dir:

Directory of disk:/

      16384 May 03 2012 07:18:44  lost+found/

           Usage for disk: filesystem
                   88145920 bytes total used
                63615549440 bytes free
                67112824832 bytes available

The purge job shows that it is "skipped". The backup cannot be launched anymore because there is not enough free space.

We tried to run the commands: acsview-db-compress and database-compress, but this did not solve anything.

Can anyone help me to go through this situation ? I would like to avoid to reinstall it every 3 months !

With my best regards,

David

David,

To avoid this situation we need to make sure that we have incremental backup configured as that also triggers data purging. When opt grows to 30 % we loose ability to backup and data purge so it is very important that we keep an eye on opt folder utilization and never let it cross 30%.

Please open a tac case so that we can clear the view database.

hi JG

The information given under the Removal and Backup mention that "If database size exceeds 150 GB, a purge will be initiated." why it not done so.

reports not coming up.  /opt folder 87% full

show disks

-> showed /opt and other folders.

ran this command:

*****SAPP01/del**(config-acs)# acsview replace-cleandb

wait for a while. . . see if /opt goes down

Hi Deluhery,

Are you able to see the reports now ?

Thanks
