Hi, how to unistall 4.1 remote agents & install new 4.2 remote agents ? what is the process ? After re-imaging do i need to reinstall the license again ?

Hi,
Please note that ACS 4.x does not have any license.
You only need permission on Cisco to download the software and then you can install it wherever you want, no license file is needed.
As you have an ACS SE you can simply re-image if that is your task, and start using it imediately.
Regarding the Remote Agent, yes it is an .exe file for Windows. (You can also install it on Solaris)
On Windows these are the System Requirements:
The RA is an application that installs 3 services:
• CSAgent
• CSLogAgent
• CSWinAgent
that run as any other application services once installed and comunicates with the ACSSE after network configuration is done.

Hi,
Remote agents are installed on another server for authentication with external database. No license is required on the ACS.

i have gone thru the link u provided. Remote agents uninstallation & installation is clear to me now .....
Just confirm me that after re-imaging ACS SE do i need to put the license again in the box or not ?

Hi, is the remote agent file is .exe ? or else how it would be installed in another server for external database authentication. i need to know how to install the remote agent file in another server ?
regarding license file i am talking abt ACS license which we install during first time installation. My query is after re-imaging do i need to put the license file again in the appliance box ?
