Hello All,

We are facing an issue in connecting the appliance for configuration CIMC. There is no  while connecting to the serial port for configuration. We do not have an monitor & keyboard available in the Data center for VGA & USB connectivity.

And there is no DHCP server available.

Please help us to how can take control and configure the CIMC IP.

Is there any default IP configured for CIMC?

I can't find an install guide for the 36xx, but the 35xx should be similar. for the CIMC, it looks like there is no default config and you will need to have to use the KVM adapter for initial config.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/2-0-1/install_guide/b_ise_InstallationGuide201/b_ise_InstallationGuide201_chapter_01.html#id_11061

It looks like you can set static, or DHCP, but does not look like anything is set by default. You'll probably just have to hail a keyboard, mouse, and monitor into your datacenter. Most should have some kind of crash card to check servers etc.

we are looking for alternate solution other than Keyboard and Monitor.

I understand, but by the documentation, there is no way to do the initial setup other than KVM through the console dongle adapter.

The SNS appliances are essentially UCS servers under the cover. You might see if this process works for initial configuration of the CIMC via the serial port.

Greg is correct.

However, besides115200 for baud rate, we also need the serial-over-LAN (SOL) feature disabled. See
