Cisco ISE-PIC Database Priming Failed!

Hello community,

Trying to implement Cisco ISE-PIC latest version 3.2.0.542 in a Hyper-V but, I'm getting this error:  Database Priming Failed! Oracle not available!

Please find the screenshot of error attached below.

Hyper-V has the requirements as recommended for a small ISE-PIC: 16 CPU, 32 GB RAM, 600 GB hard disk, also it has the right network parameters (IP, DNS, NTP, GW ) etc.

Solutions i tried: 1. application reset-config ise

                          2. Deleted Hyper-V, recreated from the beginning.

Would appreciate any kind of help!

Best regards.

BR.

Hi @Charlie Moreton ,

We installed version 3.1 and it's working now, seems like 3.2 had a bugg.

Thank you for your time.

@Bledian there is no screenshot attached.

Did you choose a Generation 1 or Generation 2 virtual machine during the Hyper-V provisioning?  ISE-PIC should be installed as a Gen1.  If Gen2, did you disable Secure Boot?

Hi Charlie,

Thank you for reply, I will ask client for the hyper-v information and reply to you.

Here is the screenshot of error.

Also does ISE-PIC support only Microsoft hyper-v?

Best regards

ISE-PIC is supported on the same platforms as ISE - except cloud.  ISE-PIC is NOT supported in the cloud.

Hi @Charlie Moreton, hyper-v is already gen1.

Is the default domain name over 64 characters?
More than 64 characters for default domain during setup script causes ISE database priming to fail

Have you confirmed the checksum for the downloaded iso?

Hi @Charlie Moreton ,

No, domain-name is less than 64 characters.

Thank you for reply.

@Charlie Moreton

Should the domain-name be only .local? or it can be any domain-name of our network.
