Cisco ISE Posture Check existence of Second Lan Adapter

Hello Everyone ,

I am in a middle of deployment on customer infra and we perform posture checks on endpoints .

One check that customer wishes to deploy is to check somehow if the workstation (Windows OS) has more than one Lan ethernet Adapter.

Does someone knows if this possible to achieved on ISE ? Maybe a registry key on Windows that defines the existence of second adapter ?

Please for your feedback and if anyone ever achieve that .

Thank You.

Hi

Never tested it but I doubt it’s going to work because if I recall, nic in windows registry are saved under a key that can have a “random” number and in it you’ll have not only physical card but also virtual nic.

I’ll try to thing how this can be achieved in another way.

Thanks
Francesco

Hi @pgiouvanellis ,

There must be an easier way. What is your "end goal"?

Hope that helps!

ISE Posture comes with a pre-defined Hardware_Attributes_Check. When enabled, it will collection hardware attributes. More info at The Hardware Dashboard.
