CSAuth hangs when clicking Submit & Restart (CSACS v3.3)

Hi,

I had similar problem with ACS 3.3 on "CSAuth" service when 'submit & retstart' or restarting the whole ACS services (from ACS GUI). My workaround is to use Window Services to (always) restart CSAuth service (and manual restart).

I am not sure what kind of error message appear in your ACS log, but I am getting this "Service CSAuth has been suspended for a configured function to proceed. Monitoring will suspend until the service is restarted". Same message appeared in Windows Event Viewer.

Steps:

1. Goto Window "Services" and look for "CSAuth".

2. Select "CSAuth" properties and choose Recovery Tab. Select "Restart the Service" for First, Second and Subsequent Failure.

3. Restart the "CSAuth" service and check the ACS log (Reports and Activities -> ACS Service Monitoring". You'll see "Service CSAuth has been restarted so monitoring will now continue".

OR, when you restart the service from ACS itself and getting the above error, you need to manually restart it from Windows "Services".

As I said, this is only a temporary workaround. Cisco probably will come out with more precise solution.
