We upgraded ISE appliances 1.2 to 1.3 and email functionality is not working after upgraded. I checked this problem and bug id is CSCus49899.Is it fixed on ISE 1.4 version?
I have configured the SMTP server using the Administrator>System>settings>SMTP
and i have added the SMTP server on it and enabled "Email notifications to guests" but the email function is still not working using ISE1.4. Is there any other settings that needs enabling or configuring.
The only other thing I can think to check would be that your SMTP servers allow unauthenticated connections, or perhaps has an ACL preventing certain source addresses (ISE node rfc1918 address?).
