ISE 2.3 Upgrade from 2.2

After performing the upgrade, I was unable to access the Wireless Wizard (GUI)

viewed from the CLI shows:

Wifi Setup Helper Container            disabled

Question:

Is this not available on an upgrade? Like with 2.2 or do I have to wipe and install? (HOPE NOT)

Remarks:

Life would be so much easier to have available.

Re: ISE 2.3 Upgrade from 2.2

IN 2.3 its disabled by default. The tool is meant for clean installs for a greenfield setup, doing an upgrade means you already have some config etc on the setup.

You can reenable per the guide

Re: ISE 2.3 Upgrade from 2.2

Jason, thanks for the response.

The GUI did not display a way to enable after the upgrade. (or I missed it)

Using the CLI doing the application  reset-config will reset to all defaults, correct? I should be able to import my configuration back, correct?

Re: ISE 2.3 Upgrade from 2.2

Per dev You should still be enable it via GUI or the CLI after an upgrade. If its not working that way you can engage TAC for a bug.

Another option is to reset ISE configuration which will wipe out your GUI config (can only be maintained if you have a backup of the config before hand)

Keep in mind the tool is only to be used on fresh installs and not after upgrades.

Re: ISE 2.3 Upgrade from 2.2

Jason, one more question about the Wireless setup. I  choose to rebuild with fresh installations. I have a primary and a secondary.

Question is, will I need to enable Wifi Setup Helper Container on the secondary box? I have not tied they together yet.

Thanks again,

Dave

Re: ISE 2.3 Upgrade from 2.2

When the wizard is run the first time, GUI should ask if user wants to enable it.
