Our standard guest account purge policy is configured to purge expired accounts nightly. There is another configuration setting called "Expire portal-user information after: 90 Days" which applies to Unused guest accounts (where access period starts from first login). We have a visitor kiosk system that automatically creates accounts in ISE when visitors check-in.
It appears that if these guests do not "login" then that account will be active and not expire for 90 days staying in the guest database causing the number of accounts to increase. Is there any drawbacks of lowering this setting to something like 7 days? My only concern is if a sponsor creates a guest account for a future date, if this is set for 7 days the account could possibly expire in 7 days, then get deleted?
