ISE appliance under UCS

Can someone weigh in on the thought of having an ISE environment of physical appliances attached to Fabric Interconnects? I am curious of the ability and pros of doing this. Has anyone done this? Are there other benefits than just CIMC via UCS? Was that enough of an architectural gain for CIMC and its local common deployment practice for C220s? Again, this is for hardware appliances, not VMs. My lack of UCS experience is glaring here.

That is an interesting question Ben that can be perhaps answered better under the Data Center section. I have very little UCS/FIC experience but the few times I was involved in an installation we never connected regular/standalone servers to the system.
