Hello All,

Cisco ISE: v2.3

AnyConnect, NAM, ISE Posture: 4.5

ISE Compliance: v4.2

I have been noticing lately on some client PCs that a new file is located in:

C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\ISE Posture\...

The Files name I am seeing is called ISEPosture.json... Any idea what this file is?

Thanks in Advance,

Matt

This file contains list of Windows patch information corresponding to their severities. ISE Posture module secondarily uses this content to make posture decisions of PM conditions.

Saurabh,

Can you advise how this file is created?   We are seeing an issue with ISE posture where the uptodate check isn't working and the logs shown that this file doesn't exist on the PCs.

Thanks!

Darren

Hi Darren,

The file is provisioned by ISE when posture invokes downloader to download any posture updates from ISE such as modules, profile updates. ISE keeps this file up to date with new patches & it's severities information based on patches information present on Microsoft website.  Updating Compliance Module on ISE to latest should fix this issue.

Currently latest available Compliance Module for Windows on CCO : 4.3.1680.6145

Regards,

Saurabh
