Looking for confirmation and document validation if available that states the ISE can leverage NAS storage as shared datastore.
install guide was not 100% clear on this deployment option.

Michael,
A NAS (Network Attached Storage) is synonymous with SAN (Storage Area Network). As long as it meets the same requirements for SAN it should be fine. The main thing is that it has a high throughput hence the recommendation for Gigabit Ethernet Connectivity. Also note the recommendation of 10K RPM hard disks or better (Flash storage!) for high I/O.
Be sure you install your VMs using our OVAs rather than installing from an ISO. This will ensure all of the necessary CPU and RAM resources are properly reserved. The most common mistake is for people to install from ISO and not reserve the necessary resources resulting in intermittent or even persistent slow/poor performance.
