L-ISE-BSE-1500 License migration

Hi,

I want to upgrade an ISE deployment from 2.0 to 2.6 but the deployment is using a L-ISE-BSE-1500 legacy license. Is it possible to do the upgrade with the current legacy base license? if not what needs to be done?

Any comments are really appreciated.

Regards

The licenses are portable from the old deployment to the new. licenses@cisco.com can assist with this, or a TAC case can get it going. You will need the new deployment stood up since you need the serial/UDI from the PAN nodes.

I would suggest migrating the traditional licenses to smart licensing, it would avoid this issue in the future and is the general direction we are going anyways.  If the customer has a smart licensing account, worthwhile looking in to it.

There is a self service option as well if the person that originally fulfilled the licenses is still available/known. You can rehost the PAK from www.cisco.com/go/license without involvement.  Selectine the old licenses from the list, entering the new serial/udi numbers, and installing.
