License consumption when using RADIUS for device login

Hi all,

just to be sure;: If customer is using RADIUS for login into switches/routers etc. to manage them instead of tacacs+, every management session will consume one BASE license.

Am I correct with this?

Yes if each session has a calling station id. Base license consumption is based on active sessions, which are tracked by calling-station-id's.

Better to use taccacs for device administration ,and radius for endpoints.
