Anyone ever see this when trying to console in tp a Pix 520 running 4.4(5) ?
I was able to telnet and console in 18 days ago.
Thanks,
Mitch

Weird though, 4.4.5 is pretty old code, I would suggest you try upgrading first.

This sounds like a problem that I've been having with two sets of firewalls right now, but I'm having it with 6.2(1) code. One pair of 535's and another pair of 520's will be fine for a while, and then suddenly when you try to telnet to them your session will lock after entering the password. The PIX will never close these telnet sessions and will deny all future sessions after five attempts. The console port will similarly lock up. This will occur seemingly at random on both the primary and failover units. The PIX's never stop passing traffic... I just can't manage the darn things.
I'm authenticating against CiscoSecure ACS 2.3(6) for Solaris with the built-in database. I have an open TAC case on this, but the engineer has not been able to duplicate the problem.
