PxGrid on ISE deployment

I have a customer that has an 8 node deployment, and he recently created 2 separate VMs and assigned pxgrid personas to them (active/standby).

Since they're not part of the 8 node deployment, the information from them (8 nodes) won't be shared unless he joins these two new nodes to the deployment, right? Or does he need to assign the pxgrid persona to one of the existing nodes on the deployment?

Thanks,

Again, the former. The PXG nodes need registered as part of the ISE deployment in order to publish or consume data for the deployment. As Mike.Cifelli pointed out, whether adding the persona to an existing ISE node or using dedicated, please refer to http://cs.co/ise-scale

Thanks for your reply.

So, he needs to add those new nodes where he enabled pxgrid to the deployment? Also, does pxgrid need to be enabled on PAN or can it be on a PSN or MnT node?

Not sure of your exact scenario/requirements, but IMO depending on how many pxgrid subscribers (clients) you plan on serving you may be able to run pxgrid persona on your PAN/secondary PAN. Whatever you decide to do just remember that PxGrid nodes will replicate info between the nodes via the PAN. Good luck & HTH!
