Self-registered guest using SMS not working with ISE 2.1

When configuring a self-registration guest portal using SMS and you are not receiving SMS messages, apply Patch 2 to fix the issue. Depending on the provider selected the issue may present itself differently. SMS text on AT&T only sends the following message, "Your Guest Account Credentials”.  This is the only message in the text.  When selecting Verizon, an SMS message isn’t sent.  Email only works correctly.

seems like your underlying issue is cannot send built in text to Verizon? If email notification working fine then likely problem with Verizon

the built in Verizon Att sprint T-Mobile are simple free text services

they send an email to your number@providersemailservice

Send Text Messages To Any Verizon Wireless Phone From Your Computer E-Mail

you can try this manually from any email client

keep in mind these built ins are not recommended for a true SMS solution such as click a tell

ISE Patch 2 resolved the issue.  This was a recommended by TAC.  I did test the email with both Verizon and AT&T and it worked.

Great, was this an informational only post
