tacacs logging questions

Question #1

In the case of WAN failures where the MNT is a central location and PSN at other locations will the PSNs queue log messages and then dequeue messages that have been locally buffered once reachability is returned ?   Are messages queued on the PSN disk or in memory?

Question #2

I see the size of TACACS+ log size is 5KB + ‘number of commands’ x 3KB from the log size calculator.

Are messages sent to MnT when the session is closed or at a regular interval?

If the latter, what is the interval? Is the interval configurable?

Hi,

Q1. yes the messages will be queued locally in the buffer. The logging file
is basically written on disk but it has a size limit which will override if
the limit is reached. This is depending on the logging buffer config.

Q2. The commands are sent at the end of the session.
