Core Issue
The jumper position on the mainboard must be changed for the memory to be recognized correctly.
Resolution
If after upgrading the total DRAM memory on a AS5300 series access server to 128MB, the router only recognizes 32MB, follow the steps below.
- Power down the AS5300 and remove the power.
- Locate jumper J3 on the mainboard.
- Change the jumper setting on J3 from the default of 2-3 to 1-2.
- The router should now recognize 128MB of DRAM.
