Hi everyone,
We were try to change via cli the primary and secondary controller configured on a 9115 ap.
While we were saving the configuration no error was shown, so we believed they were changed as we wanted. The configuration were shown still as the old one, so we tried to reload the ap but nothing changed.
We tried with different ap, some connected to a wlc 9800 (with version 17.9.4a) and some connected to a wlc (version 17.3.7).
Any suggestion?
Thanks a lot,
Noemi

Hi,
From the WLC 9800 GUI everything worked as expected, but our problem is with the cli.
Right now our config is : primary-base x.x.x.7 and secondary base x.x.x.16
What we wanted to do is : primary-base x.x.x.16 and secondary base x.x.x.7 , but via cli if we configure the right commands (primary and secondary) they aren't changed as they should.

If it connect to WLC the config is push from wlc to AP which override the AP previous config.
So you need to config AP and make sure that WLC that AP connect to also have same config.

One/two months ago we launched a job on Orion that works via cli on every single ap, switching the primary to the secondary with no problems (with the commands primary and secondary base). We moved this way like 100 ap's, the same ap's that we're trying now to move back, with the same job and/or manually, but it is not working.
