Hi:

My customer wants to dump BGP table statistics to

a remote server, including the BGP routes, neighbor up/down, BGP table

incremental informations. The event manager should be able to detect the

change, but how can I send the information out of the routers.

Is there a way to wrap the information and send it to a remote IP?

     Thanks!

Hello,

You can get the BGP neighborship status notified by using the SNMP traps, the config for this is very simple, you''ll be able to find easily in Google, let me know if u face any challenge.

Once the traps are enabled, you can set the mail notification alerts on your NMS system.

Hope this helps.

In BGP we are coming with newer tool called BMP (BGP Monitor Protocol), this will take all BGP adj-rib-in and send it to BMP collector. BMP will frequently update BMP collector with BGP statistics.

Already supported in IOS-XE 3.11, could be demo using CSR1000v demo code, and planned for IOS-XR 5.2.2 Q4 2014.

We are complient with BMPv7 IETF draft.
