cannot use management interface for syslog on catalyst 4948

I'm running catalyst 4948 on version 15.0(2)SG10 where by default the management interface is running in the VRF "mgmtVrf". you can use this IF for e.g. tacacas and ntp if you make them aware of the VRF but NOT for syslog:

DS-N8-C4948-2(config)#logging 10.3.10.5 ?
  <cr>

DS-N8-C4948-2(config)#logging source-interface fastEthernet 1
Interface FastEthernet1 is not in the global table

How to get this done for syslog?

VRF aware System Message Logging support starts with release 15.1(1)SG2.

that's fine for Catalyst 4948E serie but we are running  Catalyst 4948 10 Gigabit Ethernet Switch where lastest version is 15.0(2)SG10....
