Change location of /dcma/devfiles due to lack of inodes on /var

I have used the GUI to change the location of the /devfiles directory to the /opt directory because I have run out of inodes on the /var directory.  I'm wondering if the old directories under /var will be removed once the GUI completes the change?  Will I need to go in and manually remove the /devfiles directory after all files have been moved.  Also, do all directories get moved or just the ones that are current, meaning, there may be all dirs out there if a reinit was ever done on the rme database?

LMS 3.1, RME 4.2.0 on Solaris 9

thanks. Marcie

The devfiles should be cleaned up after restarting ConfigMgmtServer after the change of directory.  No, only current directories will be removed.  If things have been orphaned, they will not be deleted.  Once you're sure the move was successful, you can manually purge anything that is left over.  I would first move the directories out of /var, confirm config archive is still working (including viewing configs in RME), then you can delete the directories you moved out of /var.
