Cisco 3850 erspan destination

I am just checking 3850 capability as an erspan destination. It seems that although it is stated the support was added on 16.11.1 it does not seem to work. Even when doing "local" ERSPAN with loopback interface as source and destination. Does anyone has an experience with this? I am running version 16.12.04.  Exact same config on CSR1000V works great.

Thanks but it does not apply in my case.

A short update. What I did not mention on the post is that the ERSPAN source is a nexus 3k switch. Turns out, the nexus 3k on version 7.x is sending the ERSPAN in a manner that does not conform to type 1/2/3 standard. This information is clearly stated on nexus system management guide for version 7.x. When i tested ERSPAN from VMWARE vswitch configured as ERSPAN type 2 the 3850 switch decapulates the headers as expected and sends it to the destination without the ERSPAN headers. I still don't know why local ERSPAN did not work but that does no longer matter. I hope to check if on version 9.2 or 9.3 on the Nexus side the behaviour is different because the limitation does not appear in the guide as before for version 7.x.
