Hi, I can't find SNMP OID for cisco 3850 stack status. To be honest I can't find any IOD's. Because SNMP WALK gives me range .1.0.8802.1.1.2.....
But snmp navigator does not know this OID's. How can I determine what each oid means?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Try OID 220.127.116.11.18.104.22.168.500.1.2.1.1.6 for the switch stack status. Instace 1001 is switch 1, 2001 is switch 2, etc.. A value of 4 means the switch is Up. More info: http://oidref.com/22.214.171.124.126.96.36.199.500.1.2.1.1.6
You cal also use OID for serial numbers in a switch stack. When there is a missing serial number for a switch then it means the switch is down - 188.8.131.52.184.108.40.206.1.2.19
Weird as people are saying they are seeing standard OID: https://community.cisco.com/t5/network-management/3850-stack-not-displayed-correctly-in-ciscoview-6-1/td-p/2564419
Also check this link see if its any help:
Do you have a syslog server? Every time a stack member goes down there will be a syslog message logged. You can use syslog alerting instead . Thats what I'm using for monitoring our 3850 stack status.
