hello everyone,
have a nice day
I am buying a cisco ISR1100-4GLTEGB device but when I turn it on, it is running the firmware viptela 20.9.4
vedge# show version
20.9.4
But my customer wants this device to run on IOS XE firmware and gave me a firmware isr1100be-universalk9.17.09.04a.SPA.bin. I have searched for a long time but have not found any conversion to IOS and currently my device supports conversion to IOS, we only have 1 device and have not configured anything, please help me analyze, thank you very much

That is the correct image, but it is an older image which should be upgraded away from once you have migrated to IOS-XE

See the following documentation for the CLI procedure: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/routers/sd-wan/218060-configure-sd-wan-nutella-boxes-from-vipt.html#toc-hId-350794783

TL:DR;

! Install new software
request software install {path/url} reboot
! After reboot
request platform software sdwan software upgrade-confirm

Hello @duyle2,

See the following document for info & the required procedure to convert: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/sdwan/configuration/isr1100series-migration/sw-install-and-upgrade-guide-isr1100-series/isr1100-sw-install-upgrade.html

Thank you for sending the instructions. However, at the moment my device can only be accessed via console or SSH. I have enabled HTTPS along with SSH, but I still cannot access the web interface. The device shows "Viptela OS" because it has been migrated to Cisco vEdge software.

Is there any way to upgrade the router firmware using CLI with the image the customer provided: "isr1100be-universalk9.17.09.04a.SPA.bin"? Also, could you please confirm if this file is the correct image for the upgrade?

Thank you very much.

Hi  Torbjørn

vedge1# request software install http://192.168.200.155:8000/isr1100be-universalk9.17.09.04a.SPA.bin
Error: error-reason 'Found /images/isr1100be-universalk9.17.09.04a.SPA.bin, no download required'
error-reason 'Installing /images/isr1100be-universalk9.17.09.04a.SPA.bin'
error-reason 'Failed to install: tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors
error-reason 'ERROR: install: Image not supported''
i added .bin file but it says invalid does that mean it doesn't accept .bin firmware
thanks for your support
