Cisco NAM2320 SFP+/Twinax compatibility

Hi,

Is the NAM2320 Compatible with the below Twinax Cables?

SFP-H10GB-CU1M

SFP-H10GB-CU3M

SFP-H10GB-CU5M

SFP-H10GB-ACU10M

None of the twinax 10 Gbps SFPs are listed on the product data sheet for the 2320.

Sometimes they might work despite them not being certified compatible but sometimes they may not. Given that the NAM is a pretty significant investment, I'd stick with the certified compatible optical transceivers.

Hi Edward,

The Cisco 2300 installation guide contains a warning in the Requirements and Restrictions as well as the Connecting the Ports - Direct Connections section as follows:

WARNING: Do not use a SFP-H10GB-CU5M (Cisco part) cable to connect a switch and a Cisco Prime NAM 2320

appliance.
