Cisco PI 3.1 for WLC

Hello Everyone

while trying to automate couple of things on WLCs with CPI 3.1 CLI template i've found amazing checkbox in the template: Refresh Config after Apply. It made me wonder because beside of the unfamiliar term "refresh config" in CUWN area the necessity to "refresh" something after config applied to WLC has... few sense as for me :0)

as usually (when u look for the "feature" in CCO) there is amazing statement:

Refresh Config after Apply

Select the Refresh Config after Apply check box to perform a refresh config on the controller after the CLI template is applied successfully.

is anyone here enabled to explain this with more details? :0)

applying the CLI-template can in some occasions give result success, even when not all commands are executed successfully.
so you  need to resync the config as CPI "knows" it with the active config on the device
to prevent the config in CPI's database is out-of-sync with the actual config on the device

it performs the same function as when you
- go to inventory or configuration|
-> devices
- select a controller
- and do a "refresh config from device"

you need to do this refresh when the CLI commands are NOT applied using a CPI template
but manual outside CPI (serial console or ssh)
