My company is looking to transition to Cisco Prime 3.1 and one of the requirements we have is that we need to be able to run an audit against our corporate switches, and shut down any ports that have been unused for 7 days or longer, or that have never been used.
We currently run a Perl Script within our HP Network Automation tool in order to achieve this, and I'm trying to find an equivalent within Prime, but so far I've only found compliance jobs that run against ports that are simply unused, regardless of how many days they have been down.
Has anyone else run into this problem? If so, what did you to do resolve it? We're looking at running an external Python script that calls on the API but I'd really prefer to do something within Prime itself if possible.
