Hi guys,

I want to install cisco prime 3.5 over esxi 5.5 but I got this error with "ncs status"

# ncs status

Health Monitor is running, with an error. ( [Role] Primary [State] HA not Configured )

initHealthMonitor(): can not start DB

Database server is stopped

FTP Service is running

TFTP Service is running

Matlab Server is running

Matlab Server Instance 1 is running

Matlab Server Instance 2 is running

Matlab Server Instance 3 is running

NMS Server is stopped.

SAM Daemon is stopped.

DA Daemon is stopped.

WSA service is stopped.

wsa apache httpd is stopped.

Compliance engine is not running

I cannot type " ncs db reinit" (I don't have db argument after ncs command)

it seems that the database service wasn't installed.

I tried with ncs stop and ncs start but always the same error!!

Help please

Thank you for your answer But:

I mentionned that I when I type " #ncs ? " , il don't find "db" !
it means that "ncs db reinit" doesn't exist for me.

Hello,

I am afraid a complete reinstallation is your only option...

I did it more than one time but the same thing!

When the VM is installing... it should shows me "running database cloning script..." and "running database creation script..." but this steps doesn't exist in the installation in my case.

I tried to install it in another ESXI and it's ok ! it's working.

So it can be caused by the ESXI hardware?

Which ESXI hardware does this work on, and which does it NOT work on ?

It's working on the ESXI 5.5 of our company but not on the customer's ESXI which is 5.5 also.

 - Please note that the in the mentioned command-example the intended command is ncs db reinit  without the prepending #
