Hello Networkers and Prime specialists,
i have a question regarding a Prime 3.3.0 Build 3.3.0.0.342
It is necesssary to install a new critical fix
PI 3.3.1 Update 04
The Things is - i know that HA must be deletet at Primary Prime.
And i know that i can not Access the GUI at second one.
Additional i am able to Access the cli of active one - but i am not able to Access the cli of second one.
Promt with ssh is there - but no Login is possible.
Is this normal ?
My question is - after removing HA config of active Prime - what will happens to the stand by prime ?
Will i be able to acces GUI ?
Further: No virtual adress is used
It is not clear to me what will happens - ok i read the Manual
How to Patch Paired HA Servers
If your current Prime Infrastructure implementation has High Availability servers that are not at the same patch level, or you have a new patch you must install on both your HA servers, follow the steps below.
Patching paired HA servers is not supported. You will receive a popup error message indicating that you cannot perform an update on Prime Infrastructure servers while HA is configured. So, you must first disconnect the primary and secondary servers before attempting to apply the patch.
Follow the steps in “Remove HA Via the GUI” (see Related Topics) to disconnect the primary and secondary servers.
Follow the steps in “How to Patch New HA Servers” to apply the patch.
Follow the steps in “Set Up High Availability” to restore your HA configuration.
Install the same patch on the secondary server:
Access the secondary server’s Health Monitor (HM) web page by pointing your browser to the following URL:
https://ServerIP:8082
where ServerIP is the IP address or host name the secondary server.
I tryed to acces it on bothe HA Servers with https://ServerIP:8082
It was not possible
My question: Is this working only after HA is tremoved ?
A lot of questions - i know.
It will be very helpfull to get reponses.
thank you

- Some guidelines 1) From the Cisco documentation you can see that the HA must not be removed 2) Make sure that for the secondary node https://ServerIP:8082/ the corrrect (secondary) IP address is used.

Hello Marce1000,
i am a littele confused -
This is what i found at Cisco
It tells me that HA must be removed first - and if i try to install i get a message which tells me - remove HA first !

You tells me this it not necessary ?
Ok - fine....can you explain it to me how to do ?
Yes i have menawhile Access to the second prime https://ServerIP:8082
Was a fault by my side - i didn´t know that it is to arrive from another Server (FW Rules)
Now my Problem is - the second prime iOS not able to search by self for updates.
Because of this i manually downloaded the files.
Issue is that update pack is a zip
This is not accepted by prime - so i uncompressed and got two files - one .ubf and one .sig
If i try to install the .ubf it works but at the end i get Information - we can not verify that it is from cisco
So it is not shown at files.
Can you explain how to fix this ?
Any hint will be very helpfull
best regrads
Christian

- Ignore the ubf verification error and don't put yourself in twists and turns , just follow the instructions from the link you posted initially.
