Cisco Prime Infra 2.2 suddenly lost HA connection between Primary & Secondary

Experts,

We have encountered an issue with our PI 2.2 in HA pair, 

the Secondary has lost it's connection therefore the VIP isn't accessible from the 

management.

Could we know the possible cause of this?

There were 2 local addresses for this PI & one that is the other pair is still accessible.

Split brain scenario perhaps? Do they each act as though they were the Primary now or what's their current behavior?  Maybe the connectivity between them has issues...can they at minimum ping each other? I am assuming they are all in the same subnet coz I believe that was the requirement for configuring a vIP.
