Dear All,
one of our Catalyst 2960S switches had a stack member outage last night and we can see an event in Cisco Prime:
"CEFC FRU Removed" - "Stack Removed". Alarm detected through switch.
Where can we see if this event was triggered by a syslog or if it was triggered by a SNMP trap ?
Thanks for your help.

(please don't double post) : Presumably this alarm is generated from an SNMP trap. More import is that you have (indeed) snmp trap forwarding and syslog forwarding set from your device to CIsco Prime. That the alarm is 'in place' is the more important thing to consider. If you want to know the real source you can always do some testing with a lab switch (e.g.).

Hi thanks.
Yes the switches do send syslogs as well as SNMP traps to Cisco Prime. And of course the main thing is the we get the alerts but it still would be helpful to us to see by what the event was triggered - by syslog or by trap.
Testing with a lab switch is an option which takes time and it would be much easier if there was a way to quickly find out the trigger right in Cisco Prime. Is there no way to see this in Cisco Prime ?
Thanks,
T.
