Cisco Prime Infrastructure

Hi All,

We used to have Syslog Automated Action in LMS 4.2(Depending on the syslog messages, it will trigger one of the script files). Now we have migrated to Prime Infrastructure 2.0. Can you any one please advise how do I do the same in this?

Hi ,

With Prime Infrastructure , as of now we have less feature support on syslogs and Syslog automated action feature is  is not available at the moment.

As Afroz said, the syslog automated action feature is not available in Prime Infrastructure.

That applies to both the version 2.0 you asked about as well as the current version 2.2.

It is in the roadmap for future plan but not yet committed to a specific release or date.

Is this feature in the Prime 3.0???

We are literally keeping lms up and running for this 1 function.  I would love to be able to do away w/ LMS completely.

Customizing Alarms and Events for Traps

You can enable Prime Infrastructure to recognize additional traps and to customize how Prime Infrastructure creates events and alarms for these traps. You can specify the following to use when the specified trap or syslog is received. Prime Infrastructure creates an event with the settings you specify.
