Cisco Prime Upgrade version 3.0 from apliance generation 1 version 2.2

I have a Cisco Prime Infrastructure  Physical Appliance (Gen 1) on version 2.2,  I want to upgrade a version 3.0,  but a find on web two files that one contradicts the other as to whether the update is permitted

Thx for you help for clarification if you can upgrade from one generation apliance 1

The Gen 1 appliance support was added as of PI 3.0.2 (October 2015). The Release Notes confirm that.

The Quick Start guide appears to have not been updated with that information.
