Hi Experts,

we are using prime 2.1 in our network.

And we have around 2100 devices(routers, switches,ASA,WLC's) in the prime.

We are facing server slowness while accessing the Prime Device.

Regards,

TD.

Experienced the same issues while on 2.1 (recently upgraded to 2.2 and haven't used enough to say the problem is gone).  We have Prime deployed as a virtual appliance with the standard build.  At times it would become completely unusable and the only fix was restarting the services.

What's you platform? If it's a VM have you checked out the guest performance in Vcenter? That gives you good insight into which resource is most constrained (CPU, memory, disk I/O, etc.).

Is the installed image the one recommended for the tier of use you are actively using? Even if so, in a VM environment you can allocate additional memory or cores to speed things up.

Other things to look for include excessive syslog message rate and lots Netflow records/second (if you're using Assurance).
