Cisco Switch 4500 License

Hi guys,

i want to know what exactly detail about licensing.

I have a switch 4500, but the licensing not active and permanent (enterprise service).

So, i configure two command:

1. license boot level entservices

2. license right-to-use activate entservices acceptEULA

what i confuse is:

1. why we must activated of license? is not default actived depends image IOS what we use.

2. is it right i configure like that? why we must config with two command above? or can i activation lisencing with one of command above?

 - Do you have any functional (usage) problems with the switch , when or before the licensing commands were issued, if so , which ones ?

thanks for your reply.

I cannot run L3 switching like OSPF, before licensing issued my swicth just run LAN BASE Features.
