Hi Guys,
My Customer today have CUOM 2.3 and CUCM 7.1.3. He is planning to do upgrade CUOM 8.6 and CUCM 8.6. My question is: Is it possible to do upgrade CUOM directly to 8.6? If CUOM to be upgraded to 8.X do we need to purchase the upgrade license?
Thanks,
Wilson

Most customer find they require a bigger server (CPU RAM DISK) and want to use an OS W2008 64bit instead of W2003 32bit.
I believe you can restore a backup of 2.3 on a CUOM 8.7.
You need to buy a new license. (an upgrade license exists)
Cheers,
Michel

Hi Michel,
I believe that I putted the wrong title. My Customer need to do upgrade CUOM version 2.3 to CUOM 8.6. My questions is: is it possible or I need first to do upgrade 8.0 and later 8.6?
Thanks,
Wilson

I don't think you can install on top of CUOM 2.3, a CUOM 8.X. Not even a 8.0
As said, you can restore a CUOM 2.3 backup on an 8.X.
As far as I can see after CUOM 8.5 the 2.3 migration path is no longer mentioned.
Cheers,
Michel
