Hi Gregory ,
The Cisco IPSEC client is currently out of support and is not supported on Windows 8 or Windows 10.

Instead you can use the Anyconnect client or the L2TP windows built-in client.
-Hope it helps-

Hi rvarelac,
Can i use windows built in client for L2tp/ipsec with xauth and 3DES?
Also i use cisco 867VAe-K9 and i think anyconnect is not a option for me and with this setup.

Here is an example of the L2TP configuration for Windows 8 (should works as well for Windows 10)

Anyconnect is also supported on routers , there is not problem with your platform it just might need to have the SSL license installed.
